Global digital transformation was well underway when the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2019, but the unprecedented demand for network connectivity and intense focus on remote productivity since then have permanently changed the telecom industry.
Speaking in an interview with TelecomTV’s Co-Founder Guy Daniels for DSP Leaders World Forum 2022, Luis Fiallo, Vice President of China Telecom Americas, shared insights about digital adoption within consumer and enterprise sectors and how the perception of telcos from customers, consumers and governments changed over the past two years, among others.
The DSP Leaders World Forum, sometimes known as the “Davos of the Telecoms,” in reference to the prestigious gathering of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, is an exclusive gathering of senior-level communications networking industry professionals. Hosted by TelecomTV, the event promotes open discussion of the most important opportunities, trends and challenges in the industry.
Mr. Fiallo’s presentation was part of the Forum’s opening session, “Telecoms as the Engine Room of the Digital Economy,” featuring discussions about the vital role of telecommunications/ICTs in supporting society through changing times while powering possibilities for a healthy and connected future.
